It really is good to know that there are some things in life you can rely on. For the first time in a good couple of years, I decided to check in on the Entrances To Hell website (which I first hailed on the original You Need A Mess Of Help blog some time ago) and I was gratified to discover the site still very much in operation, its founders continuing their tireless mission to catalogue the infernal maws scattered the length and breadth of this sceptered isle. How shall we describe the warm feeling of weirdness that accompanies such a realisation? Perhaps we can coin the helpful tautology, 'the homely unheimlich' to aid us in our categorisation.
